The Watchcase Condominiums

Historically preserved Condos located right in the Village of Sag Harbor.

The Legacy of Watchcase Sag Harbor

Originally constructed in 1881, the historic Watchcase Factory stands as one of Sag Harbor’s most iconic architectural landmarks. Founded by French immigrant Joseph Fahys, the Fahys Watch Case Company relocated its manufacturing operations to Sag Harbor during the late 19th century, transforming the village into a center of precision craftsmanship. At its height, the company was the nation’s leading producer of gold and silver watchcases, employing a diverse workforce of skilled artisans and contributing significantly to the local economy following the decline of the whaling industry.

After nearly a century of operation, the factory closed in 1975. Today, the building has been thoughtfully reimagined as Watchcase Sag Harbor, a collection of 63 luxury condominium residences. Carefully restored to honor its historic character, the property preserves the original 19th-century architecture while introducing refined modern interiors - offering a rare blend of heritage, design, and sophisticated village living just moments from Sag Harbor’s vibrant Main Street.
